Delicious fresh fruit kompot juice made with apples, pear, peach, plums, and dried cranberries that is easy to make. Juice can be served cold or warm.
Kompot is made from cooking fruit with water and adding sugar. A variety of fruits can be cooked such as berries, apples, plums, cherries. The different combinations of fruit create different flavors that is fun to experiment with. I’ve come up with five fruits that go great together for this fresh fruit kompot juice. Although I cheated just a bit and and added some dried cranberries too. Honestly, I don’t know how fresh cranberries would taste. My favorite part is to to eat the left over chunks of fruit with a spoon.

How to make Fruit Kompot Juice
Prepare a 12 quart pot with lid for cooking.
Chop all fresh fruit into cubes, and add to pot.
Add dried cranberries to pot.
Fill pot with 12 cups of water and bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat and shimmer for 30 minutes, covered.
Add a cup of sugar and continue shimmering for 15 minutes, covered.
Remove from heat and rest before serving.
Remember to add fruit chunks with each serving, if desired. Or strain the juice in a strainer for a smoother taste.
Tips
- Store in a glass container in the fridge.
- I cook the gala variety of apple although granny smith or any other cooking veriaty works for this recipe too.
- You can remove or add other fruits as you wish. Other fruits to add can be apricots, cherries, and raisins.
- If you want the kompot to be sweeter, add more sugar. If you want the kompot to be tart, add less sugar.
- I prefer drinking kompot with the fruit chunks however the juice can be strained in a strainer.
